Sing and shine yourself on stage with a professional pianist behind the grand piano?
Singing and shining yourself on the stage of International Song Festival Zeist with a professional pianist behind the grand piano? Seven singers took up this challenge. They chose their own songs and duets from the classical repertoire or lighter genres such as French chansons and Dutch songs. During the Open Podium, the singers will tell which songs they chose and bring them to life with Gilbert den Broeder or their own pianist at the piano.
After the performances, there will be an opportunity to chat over drinks.
Gilbert den Broeder / vocal coach and piano
Gilbert den Broeder specialised in accompanying and coaching singers. He worked with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, among others, and is active with De Nationale Opera en Ballet, De Nederlandse Reisopera, The Dutch National Opera Studio and the Opera Forward Festival. For the International Theatre Amsterdam, he coached actors Ramsey Nasr and Gijs Scholten van Aschat. He is also a pianist for various competitions such as the International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch. He also works as a pianist on various radio and television programmes and accompanied Thomas Quasthoff's master class week for young, talented singers for the Grote Zangers series.

Tower Avenue is one-way. Coming by car? Then drive past the Torenlaan Theatre. There you will find parking garage Luifel (paid parking).
