Festival choir 'New Roads' sings music by composers*es who wrote music in different keys to those we are used to. But no present and future without the past. That is why they let new sounds emerge from early music. They sing music by Bach and a piece by Dufay alongside a piece by young composer Abbie Betinis. They also let the music literally emerge in the moment, as in Immortal Bach By Knut Nystedt.
Vocal youth ensemble Jong MusiCanta was founded in 2022 for talented young people. They will take you on a journey through time with polyphonic songs by Johannes Brahms, Zoltán Kodály, Oskar Merikanto and a composition of their own by Janneke Moes, their conductor.

Inge van Keulen / choral conductor
Inge van Keulen studied voice at the Helicon conservatoire with Mariola Niedzielska, and also took lessons with Christiaan Boele and Rebecca Stewart. In 2016, she completed the application course in choral conducting for professional musicians at the Utrecht Conservatory, where she had lessons with Fokko Oldenhuis and Rob Vermeulen. From a desire to challenge herself and get deeper to the core through singing and to encourage others to do the same, she took various lessons and courses in solo singing, baroque music, light music methodology and music phenomenology, among others. Inge's activities include singing, choral conducting and organising sing-along mornings in theatres.
Janneke Moes / choral conductor
Janneke Moes studied voice, conducting and composition at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium, with piano as a minor. As a singer and conductor, she was associated with various vocal ensembles and in countries including the Netherlands, Finland and France. Moes has a great passion for singing and getting people to sing together and is convinced that singing together promotes well-being and a healthy society. She is currently the conductor of, among others, Jong MusiCanta, a youth vocal ensemble for talented young people between 12 and 21 with whom she performs classical repertoire and world music.
