Before the start of the festival in May, you will receive one free ticket for the recital on Friday 22 May and a pass for the public master classes for professionals.
Raghna Wissink, choral conductor
Do you like a challenge and would you like to prepare a concert with other advanced singers in just six rehearsals? Then come and join the festival women's choir! Matching the festival theme Back to nature, the programme features beautiful romantic repertoire, singing about nature, landscapes and nostalgia. Led by choral conductor Raghna Wissink, you will study the title song About hill over dale by Amy Beach in and four beautiful songs by Johannes Brahms. Accompanying them are harpist Marleen de Bakker and horn players Misha Sporck and Austris Apenis.
Together with the festival choir, we will conclude this project with a lunch concert on Friday 22 May in the garden behind the Small Hall, a place where music and nature can come together in enchanting harmony.

digital audition
After registering, you will receive the sheet music for the digital audition from Die Capella by Schumann. Make a recording of the part that suits your voice type (S1, S2, A1, A2) and send it in no later than Sunday 22 February to educatie@ilfz.nl.
Your entry will be judged on the following criteria:
Placement - after selection by the conductor - is in order of entry. When placing, we take into account the balance between voice groups. You will receive in the week of 1 March Notice whether you have been admitted.
Upon placement in the festival women's choir, you will receive the sheet music by e-mail.
Singing in the festival women's choir and the festival choir can be combined; the rehearsals of the festival women's choir are prior to the rehearsals of the festival choir.

Raghna Wissink / choral conductor
Raghna Wissink discovered the joy of singing together and her passion for conducting during her time at the Central Netherlands Choir School. In the years that followed, she sang in the Nationaal Jeudkoor and various professional choirs and ensembles. Wissink studied musicology at the University of Amsterdam and obtained a master's degree in choral conducting and bachelors in Classical Voice and Church Music at the ArtEZ Conservatoire in Zwolle. She is currently conductor of Vrouwenkamerkoor Hera, mixed chamber choir Musica Vocalis and Anthem - choir for church music in Zwolle. She conducts the Bach Cantatas in Blokzijl and has worked as a teacher with the National Choirs in the teaching town of Zutphen for over 15 years.
Marleen de Bakker / harp
Marleen de Bakker received harp lessons from Lavinia Meijer from the age of 14 and continued her studies at the Utrecht Conservatory with Erika Waardenburg, where she completed her master's with a 9.5. She developed into a versatile and expressive musician and is active as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral harpist. She performs regularly at home and abroad and is often asked as a substitute with renowned orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. De Bakker is also active in chamber music and co-founder of Ensemble Pamoja and Duo Rosendahl/de Bakker, with which she explores the harp repertoire in innovative ways.
