In memoriam Rudolf Jansen

Two men on stage

Thursday, February 15, we received the sad news that Rudolf Jansen passed away on Monday, February 12. He was 84 years old. For over 55 years, he worked as a song pianist with well-known singers ....

The Passion of Zeist

On Thursday 28 March, The Passion is coming to Zeist. Because singing together connects, the Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist has taken the initiative to commission a song on the occasion....

Soprano Karola Pavone and pianist Boris Radulovic

Soprano Karola Pavone and pianist Boris Radulović participated in the very first master classes in 2016, gave a recital for emerging talent and won the first edition of the Young Artist Platform in October 2021. This gave them the opportunity to perform on stage with us again in 2022 as well as at the Oxford International Song Festival. So a lot has happened.

Baritone Tomas Kildišius en pianist Gustas Raudonius

Baritone Tomas Kildišius and pianist Gustas Raudonius both participated in our master class in 2022. Admittedly with different duo partners, but there the seeds were sown for further musical cooperation. And what a collaboration it was!

Singing together is fun!

Without your noticing, the festival is already warming up. Because last week, the first participants started their master classes for amateur musicians.

Choice for young talent

Former chairman Aat Klompenhouwer put his heart and soul into giving young talent the opportunity to develop and boost their careers wherever he could. Initiating the Young Singers Platform within the festival was his dream come true this autumn. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to witness its first edition. Shortly before his death in September, he gave this interview.
