Talent development is an important pillar of the International Song Festival Zeist. The Next Generation Fund was established for this purpose.

Do you ever think about bequeath through your will?

You can include the International Song Festival Zeist in your will with an inheritance or a bequest. With a legacy, International Song Festival Zeist becomes your heir for anything you have not named through a bequest. A bequest can be a sum of money, a securities portfolio or real estate. In your will, you can specify the destination for the amount or proceeds of your bequest.

If you include the International Song Festival Zeist in your will, you can also indicate there the destination for the amount or proceeds of your estate.

Your wish for later

For example, the proceeds of your estate could go to the following destinations:

  • Organisers of the International Song Festival Zeist
  • A specific field of activity of the International Song Festival Zeist, such as talent development (Next Generation Fund) or educational formation
  • Your own Named Fund International Song Festival Zeist.

We will gladly discuss with you how to design the destination so that it matches your wishes and our possibilities. It is important to us to be able to spend the proceeds of your legacy in an appropriate way in the future. Send an e-mail to vrienden@ilfz.nl or call Ton Tekstra at 06 3054 7840, then we will make an appointment.

about friends

The International Song Festival Zeist Foundation was founded in 2015 and organised its first festival in 2016. It has since emerged as a unique platform for the art song in the Netherlands, making enjoyment of classical songs and the passing on of knowledge and expertise its spearheads. It grew into a leading, widely accessible event that attracts large audiences and provides a stage for top musicians from home and abroad as well as promising young talent and has become an integral part of the musical landscape.

By organising the master class and through partnerships with schools and a wide range of workshops and courses for amateur musicians, the festival encourages talent development in a broad sense. As a result, singing, the primal form of music, gets the stage it deserves.

A healthy financial base and continuity of funding are needed for this to continue. Friends are of great importance here, as their donations directly benefit the festival: they help defray costs, fund new activities and provide a buffer for the festival's funding risk.

cultural ANBI

The International Song Festival Zeist has cultural ANBI status:

  • An ANBI does not pay inheritance or gift tax on inheritances and gifts received;
  • Donors can deduct donations to ANBI from income tax (individuals) and corporate tax (companies).

You may report your entire periodic donation as a deduction on your tax return. The first €5,000 per year even for 125% (€6,250). The donation is deducted at most in the second tax rate bracket.
