The function
International Song Festival Zeist is looking for an experienced festival producer who works meticulously, keeps an overview and can work well together. He/she/they will be responsible for the entire (pre)production of the festival that will take place in May 2024. The producer is the spider in the web in this fun and versatile position. You will be at the heart of the organisation and work with an enthusiastic and ambitious team.

Tasks include

• The entire (pre)production of the festival, excluding the Young Artists Platform and Masterclass programme.
• Translating artistic desires into executable scenarios.
• Liaising with artists and venues, suppliers and ensuring clear and timely communication with all stakeholders.
• Preparing the necessary schedules, scripts and planning so that everything runs smoothly.
• Deploy and supervise a team of enthusiastic volunteers, including assigning tasks and ensuring smooth cooperation.
• During the festival, you will be the point of contact for floor managers and the various volunteers who help make our festival possible. You ensure that all tasks are carried out correctly.

Job requirements

• Experience in planning and executing events within classical music.
• Excellent organisational skills, with an eye for detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to switch between various interests.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively and diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing circumstances and unexpected challenges.
• Experience in supervising and managing volunteers.

Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist offers
A freelance contract for 190 hours for the total assignment. Remuneration derived from the collective labour agreement for musical ensembles.

At International Song Festival Zeist, you work in a small, enthusiastic team on a leading festival that is still developing. The festival does not have its own office, much of the work can be done from home, consultations are physical if possible.

Effective date is 1 January 2024
